Organising Committee Message
Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. According to WHO, the number of global deaths caused by cancer is expected to rise. Proton therapy will become available in Singapore in early 2020.
The Advanced Radiation Therapy (ART+) Symposium aims to update doctors on both proton therapy and radiation therapy as well as leveraging on possible combinations with other treatment modalities to overcome non-response or relapse of cancer. In conjunction with the scientific sessions, there will be a trade exhibition where attendees can access a curated showcase of the latest medical technology in radiation therapy, software in treatment planning and advanced imaging (nuclear and molecular) equipment. Doctors and healthcare providers have the opportunity to connect with the medical technology community through pre-arranged pairing sessions.
Singapore has been at the forefront of medical innovation and treatment in the region. The country is a natural choice to stage this inaugural edition of ART+. The initiative is proudly supported by the Singapore Tourism Board. We look forward to welcoming you in Singapore from the 11 to 13 February 2020.
